General Questions
Yes, PunctureSafe has been used worldwide in all types of pneumatic tires, covering millions of miles without failure or damage. For low-profile, high-performance tires, consult PunctureSafe’s Technical Department before installation.
Yes…
Puncturesafe’s proprietary formulation enables the sealant to withstand heat, sheer and stress resulting from centrifugal force emanating from a rotating tire/rim. Puncturesafe’s abilities and performance is not diminished with speed, distance or time.
PunctureSafe is a preventative tire additive designed for use before damage occurs. Once installed, driving 3–5 miles (5–8 km) helps coat the tire’s interior, though immediate driving isn’t required.
When a puncture occurs, PunctureSafe encapsulates the object. Upon removal, escaping air draws the sealant into the hole, allowing rubber recovery and sealing the puncture. The seal cures, becoming non-water-soluble to protect against contaminants.
PunctureSafe cannot mask or hide dangerous punctures; its seal is only as strong as the tire itself.
Yes…
PunctureSafe reduces porosity and air migration, minimizing natural air loss. While it maintains air pressure longer, regular visual checks per trip and full inspections at scheduled services are still recommended.
Yes and No…
If there’s no critical damage and it’s safe to seal, a permanent seal may be possible, depending on the sidewall location and tire construction. Different tires react differently based on design, quality, and shape.
PunctureSafe cannot hide or mask dangerous punctures. Sidewalls are thinner, and while some rubber recovery occurs, flexing may still cause air loss. In severe cases, it may allow controlled deflation, helping the driver move to safety.

Puncturesafe UK certifies that when stored in factory sealed original containers and out of direct sunlight Puncturesafe may be stored for at least 5 years before use and once installed in a tire, it will last for the lifetime of the tire.
In Philippines, we date store Puncturesafe products to ensure first in / first out and all products are date stamped.
Yes & No…
PunctureSafe seals punctures based on the size of the puncturing object, not the puncture itself. If the object severely damages the tire’s integrity, air loss will continue despite sealing. This safety feature ensures critically damaged tires are not kept in use.
- High-Speed Grade: Seals punctures from objects up to 6mm.
- Heavy-Duty Grade: Seals punctures from objects up to 15mm.
- Extra Heavy-Duty Grade: Seals punctures from objects ranging from 10mm (small tires) to 30mm (giant tires), depending on tire size and quality.
Yes
For all intents and purposes a Puncturesafe seal can be considered permanent in that it is designed to thoroughly prevent air loss and to last for the Tire’s remaining life in the vast majority of cases.
Yes… In most cases, PunctureSafe is better than a patch because it works preventatively, sealing punctures instantly without needing post-puncture application.
A patch, on the other hand, is a repair done after the tire has gone flat—often after being driven on, causing hidden internal damage. Preventative maintenance is always safer than after-the-fact repairs. Plus, unlike patches that can fail due to heat, PunctureSafe’s seal actually benefits from it.
No…
Puncturesafe chemistry transforms the formulation into a unique gel-like state that allows the sealant to effectively cling to more of the inner surface of the Tire/rim.
Absolutely yes!
Normal air is approximately 78% nitrogen anyway, so using a higher content of nitrogen to fill your tires has no detrimental effect on Puncturesafe. People sometimes use nitrogen in tires due to its ability to maintain the tire pressure longer for longer, but it has no puncture sealing qualities. Puncturesafe on the other hand, both seals 95% of all punctures AND reduces air loss, therefore increasing tread-life and increasing fuel economy.

Safety Questions
Yes…
Puncturesafe’s formulation is fully compatible with all components in any Tire and it has inherent anti corrosive components that will protect both the make-up of the tire and rims.
No…
Puncturesafe’s rust and corrosion inhibiting system continuously works to prevent rust or corrosion. Puncturesafe cannot eliminate existing rust or corrosion, but will neutralize it and work to prevent any additional damage.
No…
Puncturesafe’s advanced proprietary seal and curing attributes have proven that the specialized rust inhibiting system protects steel belts against rust and corrosion.
The unique ability to cure within a puncture also protects the steel belts from outside contaminants.
No…
Puncturesafe cannot create an out of balance situation — provided the Tire and rim are properly balanced prior to installing Puncturesafe and neither is out of round, then there will not be a change in performance.
Puncturesafe does not balance Tires or rims.
No, absolutely not. PunctureSafe cannot mask a dangerous puncture. Extensive testing and worldwide use confirm that it won’t seal punctures that compromise a tire’s structural integrity.
Unlike traditional sealants, which may seal large, hazardous holes due to chunky rubber particles, PunctureSafe uses fine synthetic fibers that interlock to seal only small tread punctures (up to 6mm) in undamaged tires. If the puncture is too large or in the sidewall, the fibers bleed out, allowing controlled deflation, preventing rim damage, and helping the driver maintain control.
Security fleets trust PunctureSafe for its safety benefits, reducing blowout risks and enabling safer stops.
Installation Questions
No…
It is a fairly straightforward process to protect an entire vehicle, with just a few repeated steps to follow that should take less than half an hour depending on the size of each tire.
We ensure installers are all correctly trained to ensure you have a worry free installation experience.
Yes…
In order for Puncturesafe to establish a good coating throughout the inner surface of the Tire and have a 15% reserve.
It required that you use Puncture safe’s our unit calculator or charts to ensure you install the correct amount of sealant to coat the total inner surface for your unique tire/rim assembly (tire size).
No…
Our professional-grade 4 unit pump is specialist equipment, allowing only a little bit of air to be lost during installation — usually a couple of pounds — which can be corrected upon completion.
Yes…
Puncturesafe will seal punctures in both tube and tubeless tires as long as there is rubber recovery and it is not a dangerous puncture.
Yes…
Run flat tires are expensive and have to be discarded after running flat, so it remains sensible to protect them from punctures.
Yes…
Caution: When fitting Puncturesafe you may cause the sensor to be coated and thus affect its performance. We recommend that once the installation is complete you inflate the tire to the correct pressure (with the valve core not in situ) then remove the airline to get a powerful blast of air that will clean any sealant left in the valve.
External ‘Indirect’ TPMS, that measure the speed of each wheel/tire and use regular valves, are of course always puncture prevention treatment compatible.
Some ‘Direct’ TPMS have small-bore valves that will not allow regular sealant to enter. Puncturesafe UK recommends that you consult your vehicle manufacturer to check whether their internal TPMS system is sealant-friendly before fitting a puncture prevention treatment.
Tire Maintenance Questions
Yes…
Tests have shown that Puncturesafe will retard aging within the inner structure of a Tire and have also proven that Puncturesafe will reduce heat and eliminate migrating air which is directly related to increased Tire and casing life.
Yes… Puncturesafe is compatible with all retreading methods and will retard aging in Tires.
Your professional retread company certifies casing soundness and retreadability.
Yes…
Puncturesafe does not contain any adhesive or chemicals that would alter the Tire’s integrity.
No…
Puncturesafe is a viscous gel-like liquid that does not flow like water.
Yes…
One of Puncturesafe’s proprietary attributes is the ability to cure in a puncture and become non water-soluble.
This phenomenon is how Puncturesafe permanently prevents corrosion on steel belts as it protects against outside moisture and contaminants from leaching into the puncture as the vehicle is driven.
